Aspie Moments: How to Wear a Black Shirt

I bought a black shirt. I put it on. I thought ‘Shit, I look like a waitress’, took it off, left it on the bathroom floor for weeks.
It got dusty.
I washed it. I put it on. I thought ‘Shit, I look like a waitress’, took it off, left it on the bathroom floor for weeks.
It got dusty.
I washed it. I remembered the waitress thing just in time, and left it in the cupboard for months.

Not that I have a problem with waitresses or even looking like one in the right context. I had several jobs as a waitress in the past. It’s just that I don’t want people coming up to me asking me what the soup-of-the-day is when I don’t know the answer or even if I do know that it’s leek and potato but I’ve only made enough for 4 people and I wasn’t expecting guests.

Now that the black shirt has been washed several times it’s looking a bit casual. Today I threw it over a couple of layered vest tops because today I am making soup and the only people who will be asking me what it is are my children, and because I’m not sure it matters as much as I first thought.
