fudge

I’m working through the first 2 chapters of our workbook for A215 and today tried to write a cluster (a kind of mind map) with the word ‘fudge’. Although I wasn’t overly enamoured with the word and ended up reaching for the dictionary for inspiration, it did make me think (in Haiku of course!):

would Americans
buy a bag of botched nonsense
on their holidays . . . ?

  1. It’s cool isn’t it? Makes you observe everything. I expect it’s the beginnings of us being great poets . . . or something . . .

  2. Do you also count the syllables whenever you see one, to make sure they’re 5-7-5?

Yes, it’s definitely the beginnings of us being great poets.
